What's good Kia Soul Fans & Happy Thursday to all! This is a special throwback post of sorts as we first heard about the Soul Trail'ster at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show back in February and since then some significant news as well as important updates has come to my attention.
First, at a recent undisclosed Kia Motors America Dealers Show there were questions asked on weather the Trail'ster is still going to be produced and the answer was a defining YES. More importantly the Kia Soul Trail'ster will be a turbo with the added AWD/4x4 but still kinda in the air is how this all will come together harmoniously.
There is much hear say making the rounds of a possible mid-cycle refresh of the Kia Soul next year as a 2017 model with a undecided turbo based 1.6 liter engine maybe and the added AWD/4x4. It could be Kia executives are being tight-lipped about what all will happen and how but we shall know more soon.
It is worth mentioning that the said vehicle was on display at the KMA Dealers Show but if it was identical to the pics below was not confirmed. And there just may be two variations coming too: A Soul AWD and a Soul 3 door turbo. One thing is for sure the Kia Design Team in California has a double huge task at hand if this is true.
With the new plant in Mexico Kia can now start to breath some as capacity overseas and at the Georgia plant are full. So, it is still a wait and see scenario but I know it all will be worth it in the end no doubt. Stay tuned in & check out all 8 photos below. Enjoy.
