As promised I will be updating my previous post in relation to the new Kia Soul recall affecting 2010-2013 Souls-somewhere around 90,000+ with the sunroof.
The issue is that in the event of a crash the plate that surrounds the sunroof may become as object in the crash injuring occupants inside. Some special adhesive tape is needed and Kia Motors has new info as stated below:
"Kia says that it will begin mailing recall notices to owners on February 2, 2015. After receiving those notices, owners can take their vehicles to a Kia dealer, who will secure the headliner plate with industrial adhesive strips."
"If you believe that you own one of the vehicles included in this recall and you have questions, you're encouraged to contact Kia customer service at 800-333-4542 and ask about recall SC112. You can also call NHTSA at 888-327-4236 and ask about safety campaign #14V822000."
As usual Kia will make it right. A few Throwback Soul shots down low. Enjoy.
