That didn't take long at all. On the heels of The 2014 SEMA Show & my previous post Hyundai and Kia spoke out about the possible flaws in the mpg tests. But they did not leave the story there.
Taking responsibility to make it right from the start with customers and owners both brands are now saying they will also increase the overall mpg numbers by 25% with 2020 as the deadline date.
This means new lighter fuel efficient motors/transmissions and much more. That is a huge step for both Hyundai and Kia but I have no doubt it will be achieved (maybe even before 2020).
With the many things that both have done already in achievements its just one more challenge to patiently go after while keeping all other aspects in tact and improving.
