The good news at Kia Headquarters keep coming. I have just learned that the brand achieved a monthly sales record of 60,087 vehicles for the month of May. A first time achievement with the 2014 Kia Optima bringing in 16,843 sales for the month of May 2014 and the 2014 Kia Soul bringing in 15,606 sales for the month of May 2014 as well. Hyundai did pretty much the same. With its best month ever in May Hyundai did 70,907 sales with the Sonata and Elantra selling over 20k last month each.
Now the new Kia plant makes great sense. These brands have really listened to consumers and continue to improve on their products year after year. Both brands have 2015 models in production as well. I continue to enjoy what comes from these two manufacturers. Small turbo motors are nothing new at this point either with the brands as they move into the future. You really get a nice variety of autos from Hyundai-Kia which customers like. The brands are nothing like the past decade as right now they celebrate their 20th anniversary. Congrats HMA/KMA.
