I have a three part blog today. I will discuss car names in general, the 2014 Kia Soul gas mileage city/hwy and the brand new 2015 Kia Soul Electric Vehicle. If you have any questions please let me know. I will answer as best as possible.
Without researching I often wonder what goes into naming a vehicle. Chevy Impala, Dodge Dart, Nissan Juke are a few names that come to mind. The Impala is a agile deer, the Dart I have no clue and the Juke is probably music oriented. Then you have the Soul. I only know of Kia to have a vehicle name that is associated with a part of human existence, human life and spirituality. Of course to have this name you have to rang true as it does. I can't imagine the word soul being associated with any other vehicle. With its overall sales since first hitting the market the Kia Soul is just that-full of soul and a human connection.
Second, gas mileage can vary from low 20's to mid 20's in the city and 27-28 mixed city/hwy to 29-30 plus miles per gallon hwy. This will vary with the 1.6 liter engine and 2.0 liter engine between owners. Yet still for a box with so much content, safety and value it is better than all rivals in this cuv box bracket.
And last we have the 2015 Kia Soul EV which for an electric vehicle will break new grounds for Kia this fall. With a lot of functionality this all electric vehicle will have a 81 kilowatt motor good for 80-100 miles in range. Charging this electric vehicle will take a long 24 hours to a even shorter charging time of 5 hours depending. Two color choices-the sky blue with white top or the solid white with light blue top.
And my bonus news, for the regular 2015 Kia Soul model year the sky blue color (photo 4 and 5) will be added to the existing color choices. A very nice blue indeed. Check out the 2015 Kia Soul EV pics below. Enjoy.
